About us
Strive is a Singapore-based education technology company founded in 2020 by Stanford University alumnus and Forbes 30 Under 30 lister Pulkit Agarwal. Backed by Y Combinator, Strive was built on a simple idea: in the real world, math is done with computers and code, yet students still calculate by hand. By turning abstract concepts into coding projects, we make learning more relevant, engaging, and joyful.
Since then, Strive has grown into products used by more than 8.5 million teachers and students around the world, and has taught STEM classes to thousands of students on its proprietary Learn platform. In 2023, by popular demand, Strive opened up this platform to anyone who wants to teach these modules or create their own unique content.
The Learn platform has empowered K-12 educators globally to effectively integrate STEM into core K-12 subjects with ready-to-use or easy-to-update curricula, visualizations, interactives, and project-based modules.
For example, with Strive's platform:
- Ontario teachers teach mathematics through code.
- California teachers teach Python programming visually.
- Singapore teachers create physics animations and interactives.
- London teachers leverage AI to easily customize modules to use British spelling and terminology.
Along the way, we've built a whole range of tools to help us teach better — from interactive worksheets and a coding editor to a PDF generator and more. We believe great learning tools should be available to everyone, so we've made many of them free and open for teachers everywhere. Most recently, when Trinket was shutting down, we took over hosting the open-source version at trinket.strivemath.org so classrooms never lose it.
